Explore our lagoons, caves, coral formations, and underwater ruins filled with exotic marine life. From sharks, rays, and barracuda, to eels, and critically endangered Smalltooth sawfish, we are home to the largest open-air marine habitat in the world representing over 250 marine species.

RUINS LAGOON

Swim among artifacts inspired by ancient Atlantis for the chance to see 20,000 deep reef and pelagic fish. You can also catch a glimpse of this from the Hall of Waters in The Royal.

The legend of Atlantis comes to life as you embark on an incredible journey through the Lost City of Atlantis. Inside The Dig, experience the wonders of a world lost in time and discover the exotic marine life species that now call it home.

PREDATOR LAGOON & Tunnel

Come face-to-face with the awesome predators as you walk through a transparent 100-foot underwater tunnel submerged in the lagoon. With 360-degree views from above and below, see sharks, barracudas, rays, sawfish, and giant grouper living among vibrant schools of fish.

HAMMERHEAD SHARKS

The mallet-shaped head of the hammerhead enhances its ability to find prey. Sensory systems on the head are spread over a large surface area.

SPECIAL SAW SENSORS

Sawfish use a sixth sense to help them in their hunt. Pores on their saws detect the electrical field of prey.

MAYAN TEMPLE SHARK LAGOON

See Caribbean reef sharks and nurse sharks from an extraordinary vantage point: a water slide that runs through a lagoon using a transparent tunnel. Or watch from the deck and panoramic windows for a more leisurely look.

CENOTE

The legendary cenote sagrado is inspired by the sacred underground caverns and pools of the Yucatán. It is also a habitat for pacu, redtail catfish, cichlids, and the endangered Alligator Gar. Slide down The Abyss, located in the Power Tower, and splash into the cave’s inner realm.

ESTUARY LAGOON

Many of the newborns at Atlantis spend their early years in the safety of this shallow-water nursery environment. Southern Stingrays Dasyatis Americana and Bonnethead Sharks Sphyrna Tiburo are frequent residents.

STINGRAY LAGOON

Located at Royal tower on the other side of Royal Ray Lagoon, this sandy, shallow lagoon affords guests an up-close look at the cownose rays and tropical fish found here.

ROYAL RAY LAGOON

Can you spot them? Located at The Royal, see the southern stingrays (Dasyatis americana), along with blacktip reef sharks (Carcharhinus melanopterus).

WATER'S EDGE LAGOON

Located at The Coral, the migratory cownose ray (Rhinoptera bonasus) schools for protection, confusing potential predators looking for a single ray. Reserve a Stingray Experience for an amazing hands-on encounter to learn about and feed the rays.

Day Pass Information

Day passes are required for non-Atlantis guests to access the Atlantis waterscape, Dolphin Cay, marine habitat and beaches.

The passes can be purchased - on a limited basis - at the Atlantis Adventures desk located at the clock tower in front of The Coral.

Day passes to Aquaventure, marine habitat, and beaches are complimentary for guests of Comfort Suites Paradise Island and One & Only Ocean Club Resort Bahamas.

Individuals under 18 years old must be accompanied by an Adult 18 years or older.

Green turtle release

After four months of rehabilitation, Governor, a Green Sea Turtle, was released back into the Bahamian Waters.

A wild Florida manatee was released and has now rejoined the growing population of wild manatees in The Bahamas.

A modern miracle

Exactly four years after being rescued and rehabilitated, the spotted dolphin, M&M (short for Modern Miracle), was seen off the coast of Bimini.

Green Turtle Hatchlings

Atlantis is excited to welcome 58 new green turtle hatchlings. These hatchlings will be cared for by the Atlantis team for two to three years.
