Celebrating
ENDANGERED SPECIES DAY AT ATLANTIS

This May, celebrate Endangered Species Day at Atlantis Paradise Bahamas.
Our dedicated experts care for a variety of endangered species and our efforts extend far beyond our resort.

At Atlantis, we're all about conservationβ€”it's not just something we talk about; it's at the core of who we are.
More than 9 endangered species call Atlantis home. But the heartbeat of our conservation efforts lies in our success stories.
Six of those endangered species have had reproductive success, contributing to their survival for future generations.

Β
From the majestic great hammerhead and smalltooth sawfish, both critically endangered, to the elusive blacknose, bonnethead and zebra sharks, Atlantis is home to a variety of endangered marine life that'll leave you in awe.
Keep your eyes peeled for the gentle green sea turtle and the critically endangered hawksbill turtle, all thriving under our watchful care.
Through collaborative research initiatives and funding, we strive to learn more about endangered species and pave the way for their resurgence. We have witnessed the tangible impact of our collective actions, increasing these populations at the brink of extinction.
With wins like the historic births of Smalltooth sawfish in 2012, to the birth of Caribbean whiptail stingrays in 2015 and the ongoing efforts to reproduce, rescue, and release endangered green sea turtlesβ€”over 7,500 since 2006β€”we're making an impact on global biodiversity.
From stranded manatee rehabilitation to help manatees in The Bahamas, to supporting global efforts by sending our experts to participate in annual Florida Manatee Health Assessments, we’re working to ensure the well-being of these protected gentle giants

In celebrating Endangered Species Day, we invite you to join us in our mission.
No effort is too small to make a difference. Whether it's spreading awareness, supporting conservation projects, or embarking on an educational journey with us, every action counts.

Together, we can rewrite the narrative of extinction and create a future where endangered species thrive again. Learn more when you visit us on your next vacation, or delve into the Atlantis Blue Project to learn more about how you can become a steward of conservation.
