This November, Vanderbilt men’s basketball makes its first-ever appearance at the 2025 Battle 4 Atlantis, November 26–28, inside the vibrant Imperial Arena. The Commodores join a powerhouse lineup—Saint Mary’s, Virginia Tech, VCU, Colorado State, South Florida, Western Kentucky, and Wichita State—for an unforgettable early-season showdown in The Bahamas.
First-year head coach Mark Byington has already left his mark on the program, leading Vanderbilt to a 20–13 record and transforming the Commodores into one of the SEC’s most exciting offenses. With a fast-paced style and a team that averaged over 80 points per game, Vanderbilt is ready to test their energy against the best.
The Commodores boast a dynamic roster: junior guard Jason Edwards leads the charge at 17.0 points per game, while junior forward Devin McGlockton controls the boards with nearly eight rebounds per contest. Graduate transfer A.J. Hoggard adds veteran leadership and almost five assists per game, and versatile wing Tyler Nickel provides scoring punch off the bench. This group gives Coach Byington the tools to adapt and excel in any matchup.
Battle 4 Atlantis is known for its high-stakes, fast-paced format—perfect for teams looking to build early-season momentum. For Vanderbilt, it’s a chance to showcase their new identity, compete among the best, and set the tone for a thrilling season ahead.
