Rescue Tails & Tales - A Wildlife & Conservation Walk
3 Hours
Everyone Years +
Multiple

From Atlantis Paradise Island to Ardastra Gardens & Wildlife Conservation Centre, this walking expedition brings you behind-the-scenes to learn from the experts who are working to protect native endangered species, and are committed to marine and terrestrial wildlife rescue, rehabilitation, and conservation in The Bahamas.

The tour begins with your Aquarist guide who will share Atlantis’ marine conservation initiatives as you explore the world’s largest open-air marine habitat. Meet endangered sea turtles to learn how we protect and sustain wild populations. See our coral growing garden and mangrove nurseries to hear about our sustainability efforts to restore local marine and coastal habitats and get a unique view of the world’s only breeding population of critically endangered small-tooth sawfish. Go behind-the-scenes at Dolphin Cay to learn how we care for marine mammals and operate the largest marine wildlife rescue center in the region.

Then enjoy a city tour of downtown Nassau on your way to the historic Ardastra Gardens Wildlife Conservation Centre for an up-close and engaging experience where you’ll meet and hear the fascinating stories of rescued animals and native wildlife. The crowning moment is when you’ll encounter the free-roaming parade of flamingo beauties National Geographic has called “Ballerinas in Pink.”  These famous long-legged Caribbean flamingos are the national bird of The Bahamas. All ages are welcome to participate in the Rescue Tails & Tales experience.

Every experience helps support the non-profit Atlantis Blue Project Foundation and Ardastra’s mission to preserve and protect native wildlife for future generations.

Age requirements: Open to all ages. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a participating parent or guardian. Guests 3 years and under are admitted free.
