Meet the Players

HEATHER HODGSON KOSOY

Heather is delighted to put her talents to good use once again by returning to the Atlantis Theatre after appearing in the 2HOOPS productions of The Love List, The Long Weekend, Screwball Comedy and Real Estate. She has performed across Canada on a variety of stages including the Royal Alexandra Theatre (Toronto), the Manitoba Theatre Centre, Theatre Aquarius (Hamilton), the Globe Theatre (Regina), and as a Company member of both Drayton Entertainment and the Stratford Shakespeare Festival.

Heather has been featured in a variety of both Canadian and American film and television productions, including a recurring role in CityTV’s award-winning television series, “Meet the Family”. Ms Hodgson Kosoy is the Founder and Artistic Director / Producer of 2HOOPS Productions.

STEPHEN SPARKS
“Rob”

Stephen lives in Toronto. A much sought after performer, he has appeared on most major Canadian stages from coast to coast. Recently he’s played Captain Von Trapp in Sound of Music and Sam in Mama Mia. He is delighted to be back for another Two Hoops production and especially proud to be performing in a play he co-wrote with his wife.

Television credits include Murdoch mysteries, Star Trek SNW, The Boys, Designated Survivor, Reign, Warehouse 13, Lost Girl, Mayday etc.

LISA NORTON
“Gail”

Lisa Norton is pleased to be back with 2Hoops after appearing as Estelle in last year's Real Estate. Lisa is a Canadian stage, screen and voice performer who has been playing pretend for a living for 29 years. She currently resides in Toronto and Meaford, Ontario, with her husband, stepchild, and their assortment of hairy beasts.

Thanks to Heather and the whole team for welcoming her back to Paradise! And thank you to the audience for coming out to live theatre for a great cause.

NORA SHEEHAN
“Trudy”

When Heather, and 2 Hoops Productions offered me this terrific role in the very funny, Smarty Pants, I was over the moon. The chance to work with a fun mix of talented professionals, all while supporting some great local charities, was an opportunity not to be missed. And let’s face it, spending a month in Nassau instead of facing winter in Toronto, was just the icing on the cake.”

Nora’s many years as a professional actor has taken her to theatres across North America, in productions ranging from thought provoking, Henrik Ibsen to side splitting, Neil Simon. An actor cannot survive on theatre alone however, and Nora has commercials, car shows, and corporate videos to prove it. With all that groundwork done, Nora now works extensively in film and television. Favorite projects include her recurring role as Aunt Chrysanthemum in Murdoch Mysteries, her collection of Hallmark films and guest appearances in Schitt’s Creek, Orphan Black, and The Romanoffs.

However, Nora’s most memorable role was in Noel Coward’s, Private Lives, where she met her husband, actor David Rosser, over 30 years ago.

P.S. Nora is a 3.5-rated tennis player always looking for a game. Let the front desk know if you want to play.
