Atlantis and Atlantis Blue Project partner with the Perry Institute of Marine Science (PIMS) to protect and restore our vital coral reefs through maintaining an on-site coral nursery and ocean coral nurseries, as well as conducting rapid reef assessments, training personnel, and out planting corals.

Research and Restoration
Atlantis Blue Project Foundation has funded over $5 million in coral reef research and restoration initiatives.

Most recently, plans were announced to create The Bahamas Coral Gene Bank at Atlantis Paradise Island, a collaboration between Atlantis, Atlantis Blue Project Foundation, The Bahamas Ministry of Agriculture, Marine Resources and Family Island Affairs, Perry Institute for Marine Science (PIMS), and the University of The Bahamas. Upon its opening in 2024, the Bahamas Coral Gene Bank (BCGB) will house up to 600 colonies of the most vulnerable coral species.l
