The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers are making their way back to the heart of The Bahamas at the 2025 Battle 4 Atlantis. This Thanksgiving, they’ll join a powerhouse lineup featuring Colorado State, Saint Mary’s, USF, Vanderbilt, VCU, Virginia Tech, and Wichita State, all converging on the legendary Imperial Arena at Atlantis Paradise Island.
The Hilltoppers last graced the Imperial Arena in 2017, and they made waves. After a hard-fought opener against then-No. 5 Villanova, WKU stunned No. 18 Purdue in a thrilling 77–73 upset, then edged out SMU to close the tournament 2–1. It was a performance that turned heads and proved the Hilltoppers belong on the big stage.
Now under the leadership of first-year head coach Hank Plona, WKU is writing a new chapter. Coming off a 17–15 season, the Hilltoppers are hungry, focused, and ready to rise. Plona brings a championship pedigree and a defensive edge that could be the difference-maker in Paradise.
Leading the charge on the court is Teagan Moore, WKU’s top returning player and a rising star in Conference USA. Moore brings versatility, toughness, and a high basketball IQ to the floor, making him a key piece in the Hilltoppers’ quest for a statement showing in Atlantis. After a breakout season, he’s poised to take an even bigger leap; one that could put WKU right back in the national spotlight.
