GIVING BACK TO BIG BLUE

The stunning blue ocean waters that border Atlantis Paradise Island and the Bahamas have given us so much, we had to give back. The Atlantis Blue Project Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ocean conservation and education. Our goal is to keep our Bahamian waters beautiful and full of life for years to come.

The Atlantis Blue Project Foundation funds scientific research, sea animal rescue programs, and marine education in the community. We believe by learning more about our ocean and its inhabitants we can keep them healthy, and pass that knowledge on to the next generation.

The foundation receives funding through donations and the guest marine programs at Atlantis. That means when you book one of our wonderful marine activities, a portion of your fee goes to the Atlantis Blue Project Foundation. We thank you for your support! Here are just a few of the amazing things the foundation has helped sponsor:

  1. •   Coral reef research with the Perry Institute Of Marine Science
  2. •   Marine teacher workshops and school field trips
  3. •   Expansion of national marine park boundaries on the west side of Andros
  4. •   Rescue, rehabilitation, and release of various marine animals from dolphins and manatees to sea turtles
  5. •   Coral reef restoration including replanting of over 100 coral fragments

Visit the Blue Project Atlantis website to learn more about the foundation’s initiatives and how you can make a donation.
