As an active participant in our countryβs efforts to reduce the use of plastic*, we have eliminated single-use plastic bottles and have added refillable water stations throughout the property.
In addition, plastic straws have been replaced with paper straws to avoid endangering the ocean and marine species. Styrofoam cups and containers have been replaced with take-out food containers made from sugar cane and bamboo.
With the hope that the next generation of Bahamian children will make recycling part of their lives, the resort participates in the βCans for Kidsβ program which raises funds for kids in The Bahamas through recycling aluminum cans.
Together, we know that we can actively help the environment and along the way, make the world a better place for generations to come.
